Dieses Video von Vox hat nicht nur einen klaren US-Fokus, es ist auch leider „nur“ ein einfaches Videocall-Interview, das ein bisschen mit Grafiken aufgehübscht worden ist. Ein ausführliches Video Essay wäre hier sicherlich schöner gewesen, aber auch so gibt es ein paar interessante Einblicke zu erfahren, die uns Danielle Gervais erzählt, die unter anderem für das Netflix-Format „Queer Eye“ als Casting-Direktorin zuständig gewesen ist. Vermutlich lässt sich das ein oder andere ihrer Aussagen auch auf allgemeine TV-Casting-Tätigkeiten abstrahieren.
